Morten has a PhD in Biotechnology and has been involved in many biotech start-ups, including Active Biotech, Affitech, and Genetic Analysis, to name a few.
During the last decade, Morten’s passion is to optimize gut microbiome analysis while contributing to understanding the challenges and solutions for optimizing microbiome-based Precision Medicine.
Warren is the Chief Operating Officer at Bio-Me and a microbiologist with a key interest in the design and development of improved molecular techniques for microbiome analysis. He holds a PhD in microbiology and a MSc in immunology and immunogenetics from the University of Manchester.
After meeting Bio-Me CEO Morten Isaksen he left behind a successful UK life sciences career to come to Norway and build up a company with the focus of enabling rapid, high precision microbiome analysis for clinical applications. Warren is passionate about supporting microbiome therapeutics development and is chairman of the Pharmabiotics Research Institute OMICs task group.
Jean-Marc earned his PhD from the Complutense University of Madrid. He has broad, interdisciplinary training and experience in studying the immune system and working on the rational design of drugs and vaccine adjuvants, resulting in the discovery of new ligand scaffolds and improving the understanding of the mechanism of action of known ligands.
Chief Clinical Officer
Runar holds an MSc in physical activity and health/exercise physiology from the Norwegian School of Sports Sciences and earned an MBA from BI Norwegian Business School. He brings ~20 years of experience from the life science industry in companies such as Pfizer, Pronova BioPharma, and BASF.
Runar has an extensive product development background, including clinical development of pharmaceuticals and Medical Food products, as well as claims substantiation of nutritional ingredients. More lately as a business developer and commercial manager, developing and managing partnerships for distribution of Medical Food products in Europe and the US.
Full Stack Developer
Simen got his Master’s in Informatics in 2014 from the University of Oslo and worked with systems development in the public health sector for a few years before deciding to delve deeper into biology and bioinformatics. He returned to university for a bachelor’s in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in 2016, and shortly after graduating met Bio-Me and became a part of the team.
His interests include complex systems, software development, health tech, biology, statistics, networks, and machine learning.
Satya earned a master’s degree in biotechnology from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India, and a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Kakatiya University, Adilabad, India.
Satya has excellent knowledge of biotechnological laboratory equipment, and experience in cell biology, bioinformation, immunology, molecular biology, and microbiology, with a special focus on genetics, RNA/DNA technologies, and bioprocess-technologies.
Maria is a clinical dietitian who graduated from the University of Oslo. She became a part of Bio-Me while working with her master thesis at the department of Biochemistry at the Institute of Basal Medicine at the University of Oslo. During her thesis she was a part of a well-established research group studying the immune system and intracellular responses.
Maria has knowledge about research and statistical methods, nutrition, cell biology, and physiology, as well as experience.
Pauline has a proven track record in business administration, website creation, project management, and book-keeping. She has experience of entrepreneurship and business creations, as well as working with group teams on multiple business projects and priorities.
Pauline also has many years of managing business office functions and providing executive-level support to principals and clients.
Chairman of the Board
Sverre is a seasoned internet executive with 20 years of experience as EVP at Schibsted Media Group. Responsibilities include being Group CFO, managing Schibsted’s free newspapers under the 20minutes brand, starting up online classified sites such as compraventa.com and leboncoin.fr.
Since 2011, he has also been responsible for group strategy. He has substantial experience in strategy and business development, inter-nationalization/scaling and management coaching.
Jørgen is a medical doctor and a life science entrepreneur with a solid track record of developing medical innovations for people in need.
He has experience from international corporate management positions in the pharmaceutical industry, where he was responsible for billion-dollar product brands and successful product re-launches, product innovations, production set-ups, new subsidiaries, and M&As.
With experience from working in the intersection between enterprise, NGO, research, and policymakers to promote sustainable business, Luis has successfully co-founded MassMarket.com (part of Visma), and EcoOnline.com (Summa Equity portfolio company).
He has a passion for helping new, promising company’s succeed, and is currently a resource and investor for several startup companies with a special focus on SDGs.
Tore has extensive experience in sales & business development with a demonstrated history in the technology industry. He is skilled in business & technology models, Go-to-market strategies and B2B/B2B2C sales.
In addition, Tore has long experience with Big Data and Machine Learning capabilities, which will be important for Bio-Me in scaling their health database.
